The Education Centre will provide education,
training and opportunities for those who are interested
in rural life and history. The aim of the Trust is to
develop the area to provide facilities which do not
exist in Lochaber at present for the benefit of people
of all ages and abilities.
Major attractions will include the Children's

The Rural Education Centre,
opened on 3rd April 2006 and accommodates
a fully-equipped classroom resource with a capacity
for over 30 students of all age ranges. The Education
Centre is also available for hire (contact us
for details)

Lochaber Rural Complex has excellent car
parking and toilet facilities which are disabled-friendly.
A green field, dedicated to the memory of
Fraser MacPhee, has been constructed high
up on the hillside on the road to the Aonach Mor
Ski Centre.This
field is available for all community groups, shows,
competitions and sports groups for junior
shinty, football, rugby and whatever. The field
has a changing pavilion, is terraced on three
sides and is ideal for sports days and picnics.

We are always delighted to answer any queries and isitors to the Rural Education Centre.
The Education Trust is a registered charity (SCO 32111) and
needs more volunteers to continue the development and operation
of the project. You can help in lots of different way
- it's fun and easy.
