You Can Make a Difference
As previously stated LRET was established by a small group
of volunteers for the
community and will be totally reliant upon the continued support
of the community if we
are to achieve our aims. How can you help?
Volunteering Opportunities
As a registered charity, LRET is a non-profit making organisation.
All the funds for the
development of this project have been generated by the local
community and grants from
various agencies, in particular Heritage Lottery Fund and
Whelk Leader +.
Any revenues will be gained from visiting school groups, hire of facilities and tourism.
The support of a Voluntary Team to help set up, administer and
operate the Exhibition/Museum will be vital to the success of LRET's aims
and objectives.
Quite simply, anybody can volunteer. No matter what experience
or background, everyone will have a positive contribution to make this diverse,
vibrant and exciting project. No matter how much time you can offer your help will
make a difference.
So come along and give us your time and skills for projects such as:
- Pathwork projects,
- Fencing projects,
- Animal work including shelter construction,
- Gardening projects,
- Conservation work,
- Working with visiting groups,
Many other projects are planned but we need volunteers to make them happen!
Do you have something to share?
Information and Advice
Do you have a story to tell? As an agricultural community
we all have a story to tell about Rural Life in Lochaber, and we are keen to share in your experiences
so that we may include them.
This project is for the benefit of everyone in our community,
and consequently we would be delighted to receive your views, ideas and advise on how
you feel the project should be developed. Please contact us. You can make a difference!
